X-Rays In an effort to minimize patient costs, we will use current x-rays from your previous dentist. Please contact that office and request your child's x-rays to be sent to us, or arrange to bring them with you to the initial visit. If there are no appropriate x-rays available, we will take your radiographs in our office at the time of your appointment. Insurance Dental insurance is intended to cover some, but not all of the cost of dental care. While it does help to reduce the full cost of care to you, it will not eliminate it completely. The uncovered portion is the patient's responsibility. As a courtesy, our staff will bill your insurance company and help you to receive the maximum benefits under your policy. We allow 45 days for payment from your insurance company. After 45 days, we request the patient to pay their balance in full, although we will continue to provide you assistance in collecting from your insurance company. Most plans include co-paym ents, a deductible, and other expenses, which we require to be paid by the patient the day of service.
